According to Vastu Shastra, the principles for designing a house are different from those applied to offices, factories, schools, or hospitals. This is because each space serves a different purpose and requires a specific kind of energy. Based on this, the arrangement of items and the layout should be planned accordingly.
Today, I’m sharing a few important Vastu rules specifically for offices and factories. If you're planning to open a shop or commercial space, do keep these points in mind:
Shops and offices with entrances from the East or North are considered highly auspicious and tend to bring prosperity.
It has been observed that entrances in the Southeast or Northwest may bring success in the initial years, but the business may gradually decline over time.
Prefer using wooden furniture as much as possible in your office.
If it's a shop or factory that requires stocking items, store them in the West, Northwest, or South directions.
The owner's seat should ideally face East or North, as it is considered highly beneficial.
Employees should mostly be seated in the West, facing East. This arrangement enhances focus and dedication.
Drinking water should be placed in the Northeast direction.
All electrical equipment should be positioned in the Southeast corner, known as the Agni Kon (Fire Zone).
If your shop or office has any large hanging object or decoration from the false ceiling, make sure it's securely fixed and try not to sit directly underneath it.
If you're keeping a cash locker or cash register, place it against the South wall with the opening facing North. It should never be empty—always keep some cash or even a few dry fruits in it for auspiciousness.
All important documents and files should be stored in a cupboard or on shelves against the West wall. If you're selling products, placing them in the North direction ensures faster movement and sales.
Try to keep most of the furniture in right angles (90°)—avoid curved or circular shapes.
